- Because that’s where the money is. – attib. Willie Sutton
Carriers are a very important stakeholder in the telecommunications ecosystem. They are the gatekeepers to deployment on the network or on mobile devices, they can bring scale to your business in a sudden and dramatic way, and they are the collection point of monthly subscription revenue from customers. It’s where the money is. Join us for the Telecom Council of Silicon Valley’s TC3 event, where we help you get up to speed on what the carriers are thinking for 2010.
What is on the carrier’s radar, what partners may fit their future needs, and what challenges they have yet to solve?
What do carriers want from entrepreneurs?
What is the best way for Bay Area companies to partner with carriers? We’ll answer those questions, and help you make the carrier connections that can accelerate your business. The carriers are here in Silicon Valley for a reason: to meet companies like yours. We are here to facilitate that interaction, reduce your time to market, and grow your long term network. We’re very well aware of the challenges in working with carriers, and if your business can take advantage of other channels, then by all means, do. App stores are a very attractive channel at this juncture. But every channel should be considered in earnest, with no religious fervor. We’ll plainly discuss the choice of a carrier as a path to market, and measure the pros and cons. You can expect each of our carrier speakers to address their hot topics, and for many these include:
What they are looking for in Silicon Valley
What kind of partnerships they seek
Partnership process, methodology
Developer or partner programs
How the local office can streamline the process
Their current roadmap
Their innovation goals or programsWe will follow each carrier update with Q&A, and cap things off with lunch to give our participants a chance to connect one-on-one. This event is free for Telecom Council members, and $300 for non-members.
