Since 2001, the SPiF has reviewed approximately 45 pre-screened start-ups per year. And at the SPIFFY's, we honor the best of the best
At this Awards event, the Telecom Council and SPiF will announce outstanding companies from the presenting alumni, and honor their innovation and execution. As our first annual awards event, we will be going back two years, for the best of 2006 and 2007, across 8 award categories. You will find the evening entertaining, interesting, and a great opportunity to meet with an impressive crop of entrepreneurs, telcos, and major equipment vendors alike.
Entertainment: We will kick off the event with a professional comedian who
will poke fun at the dynamism and culture that is Silicon Valley. Dan St. Paul
takes on the Telecom industry and Silicon Valley.
Keynote: Brian Modoff from Deutsche Bank, one of the visionaries of the
wireless telecoms sector, will share with us his take on what telecoms
and startups need to do in order to be winners in the industry.
Social Networking: After a short awards ceremony at the theatre, we’ll skoot
next door to Bistro 412 for a hosted bar, and some mixing with telcos,
entrepreneurs, financiers, and some of the smartest minds in telecom.
Social Networking – it’s the next big thing in business, and, turns out it’s
better in person over drinks than it ever was on Facebook.com.
Attending this event is free for members and $50 for non-members.
